NAFDAC Pre-Packaged Food, Water And Ice (Labelling) Regulations 2019

These Regulations shall apply to the labelling of all pre-packaged food (including water and ice) to be offered as such to consumer. It emphasizes that no person shall manufacture, import, export, distribute, advertise, sell or use a pre-packaged food unless it is labelled in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations. Persons shall not manufacture, import, export, distribute, advertise, sell or use food whose expiry date has lapsed, and also make advertisement claims or professional association endorsement on a food product label unless authorized by the Agency.
