The objectives of these Regulations are to: set baseline parameters on air quality and emissions based on a number of practical considerations and acceptable limits; enforce minimum air quality standards prescribed by the National Environmental Standards Committee; help developers such as industrialists to keep abreast with environmentally friendly technologies; and ensure protection of human health and the environment from various sources of pollution.
