An Act to continue the existence of the Zambia Competition Commission and rename it as the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission; safeguard and promote competition; protect consumers against unfair trade practices; provide for the establishment of the Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal; repeal and replace the Competition and Fair Trading Act, 1994; and provide for the related matters.

An Act to amend the Companies (Certificates Validation) Act.

An Act to establish the Patents and Companies Registration Agency; provide for the functions of the Agency; transfer from the Government to the Agency the functions and the powers of the offices of the Registrar of Companies, Registrar of Registered Business Names, Registrar of Patents, Registrar of Trade Marks and Registrar of Registered Designs; and provide for related matters.

. An Act to provide for the registration of business names. It repeals and replaces the Registration of Business Names Act, 1931 and provide for related matters.

An Act to amend the Customs and Excise Act.

An Act to provide for an efficient, cost effective and accessible business licensing system. It provides a set of principles and interventions to guide regulatory agencies when regulating and licensing business activities in accordance with a law under their mandate and provides for the classification of, and criteria for, licensing.

An Act to amend the Weights and Measures Act.

An Act to amend the Patents and Companies Registration Agency Act.

An Act to provide for the creation of security interests in a movable property to contribute to economic development; harmonise secured transaction laws; provide for harmonisation of conflict of legislation to promote the financing of international trade and make security interests effective against third parties.

An Act to regulate the capital markets to foster fair and efficient trading; to continue the existence of the Securities and Exchange Commission and provide for its functions and powers. The Act also license and regulate securities exchanges, clearing and settlement agencies and self-regulatory organisations.

An Act to provide for the protection and administration of patents; to provide for the patentability of an invention. It is designed o provide for the process for obtaining letters patent for an invention; to provide for the restriction, publication and communication of patents; promote the use of patented information and technological knowledge; to provide for contractual and compulsory licences, and to provide for the use and acquisition of inventions by the Government.

This Act support the Zambia Bureau of Standards and re-define its powers and functions; provide for standardisation and quality assurance of products and services through the setting of national standards and provision of conformity assessment services for products and services. It repeals the Standards Act, 1994; and provide for related matters.

An Act to provide for the principles of, and a framework for, technical regulation that are compliant with best practice and regional and international obligations to which Zambia is a party. It establishes the Department of Technical Regulation in the ministry responsible for trade and provides for the development and implementation of technical regulation for public safety and health, consumer protection and environmental protection. It also offers professional guidance to regulatory agencies on the development, implementation, administration and review of technical regulations.

An Act to provide for corporate receiverships, the appointment of receivers and the duties and responsibilities of receivers. It provides for business rescue, appointment, duties and responsibilities of business rescue administrators, rights of affected persons during business rescue proceedings and business rescue plans.

An Act to promote the development of the economy by encouraging entrepreneurship, enterprise flexibility in the formation and maintenance of companies. It provides for the incorporation, categorisation, management and administration of different types of companies.
