The policy aims to revise and re-evaluate the over 3000 pesticides products approved for use in South Africa, as enshrined in the fertilisers, farm feeds, agricultural remedies, and stock remedies act. It provides information, and will serve as guideline framework to ensure the full life-cycle of pesticides – from production process to disposal – is positioned to minimise the adverse effects on health and the environment.
