An Act to continue the existence of the Pharmaceutical Regulatory Authority and re-name it as the Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority. It provides for the functions and powers of the Authority; the registration and regulation of pharmacies, health shops and agro-veterinary shops; and the registration and regulation of medicines and allied substances. It also provides for the regulation of the manufacture, importation, exportation, possession, storage, distribution, supply, promotion, advertising, sale and use of medicines and allied substances.

An Act to establish the National Health Research Authority and provide for its functions and powers; the National Health Research Ethics Board and provide for its functions and powers and provide a regulatory framework for the development , regulation, financing and coordination of health research and ensure the development of consistent health research standards and guidelines for ethically sound health research.

An Act to provide for the establishment of the Zambia Compulsory Standards Agency and provide for its powers and functions; provide for the administration andmaintenance of compulsory standards for the purpose of public safety and health, consumer protection and environmental protection; and provide for matters connected.

An Act to provide for sound financing for the national health system; provide for a universal access to quality insured health care services; establish the National Health Insurance Management Authority and provide for its functions and powers; establish the National Health Insurance Scheme and provide for its systems, procedures and operation; establish the National Health Insurance Fund and provide for contributions to and payments from the Fund; provide for accreditation criteria and conditions in respect of insured health care services; provide for complaints and appeals processes; provide for the progressive establishment of provincial and district health offices of the Authority; and provide formatters connected with, or incidental to, the foregoing.

The purpose of these Regulations is to provide for rules regulating complaint referrals for alleged contraventions of section 8(1)(a) of the Act read with Regulation 4 of the Consumer Protection Regulations during the period of declaration of the National State of Disaster and lockdown period and prevent an escalation of a National State of Disaster and to alleviate, contain and minimise the effects of the National State of Disaster.

This guidelines provide guidance on the management of persons requiring quarantine or isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the identification, setup, maintenance and management of quarantine and isolation facilities.

The purpose of these Regulations is to exempt a category of agreements or practices in the hotel industry from the application of sections 4 and 5 of the Act in response to the declaration of COVID -19 pandemic as a national disaster in terms of the Disaster Management Act, solely with the purpose of promoting concerted conduct to prevent an escalation of the national disaster and to alleviate, contain and minimise the effects of the national disaster.
