The purpose of the Act is to ensure that liquor regulations and practices in the Republic are harmonised, to facilitate effective and uniform enforcement of liquor laws by various enforcement authorities and to reduce the socio-economic and other costs of alcohol abuse by reducing access to and the availability of liquor.

This Anti Substance Abuse Program of Action outlines five focus areas and their objectives to develop policy, review and align liquor legislation, to educate and create awareness on substance abuse, to promote equal access to resources across South Africa, to respond to policies and legislation with regards to drugs and organized crime and to review of institutional mechanisms to prevent and manage alcohol and drug use in the country respectively.

This document is designed with a vision to improve access to health care for all and health outcomes. It has strategic priorities to develop and employ new professionals and cadres to meet policy and health needs, to increase workforce flexibility to achieve this objective, to improve ways of working and productivity of the existing workforce, to improve retention, increase productivity and revitalize aspects of education, training and research.

This is an Act to amend the Health Professions Act, 1974, so as to amend and insert certain definitions, to provide for the requirements for removal of members from office, to provide for the absence of the president from council meetings, to provide for the functions of registrar and staff, to provide for the investigation of members whose names have been removed from the register and to provide for the publication of the register by electronic means.

An Act that amends the Medicines and Related Substances Act, 1965 to provide for the objects and functions of the Authority; to provide for the composition, appointment of chairperson, vice-chairperson and members, disqualification of members, meetings and committees of the board of the authority, and to require the minister to consult with the pricing committee when prescribing acceptable and prohibited acts in relation to bonusing.

A bill to amend the National Health Act, 2003, so as to amend a definition and to insert new definitions; to provide for the legal recognition and requirements of a durable power of attorney for health care and a living will; and to provide for matters connected therewith.

The notice amends the medicines and related substances act of 1965. “Among others, it provides for the appointment of one or more Deputy Registrars; it provides for a term of office of members of the Pricing Committee; it provides for the delay of the coming into operation of provisions requiring a licence before a person can compound and dispense or manufacture medicines, or act as a wholesaler or distributor; and it provides for regulations relating to the marketing of medicines”.

The amendment outlines the names and date of sectors of the food industry and food handling enterprise associated with such sectors.

The government acknowledges the essential nature of critical infrastructures for public safety, national security, and basic public services. The act applies to the identification and declaration of critical infrastructure; the determination of critical infrastructure; and the protection of critical infrastructure. The act does not apply to infrastructures under the control of the department of defence.

An amendment of the table in annexure A that highlights foodstuff, preservative, and quantity permitted.

The regulations are subject to the foodstuffs, cosmetics, and disinfectants act of 1972. It inserts definitions for textual correctness.

An amendment of the disaster management act of 2002. among others, the amendment relates to; clarification of policy focus; alignment of functions of management bodies; provide for security personnels to assist in disaster management efforts; strengthening reporting on monitoring and evaluation efforts; provide for the inclusion of traditional leaders in management activities; and declaration and classification of disasters.

The act sets out provisions along the value chain of medicines and medical devices manufacturing, import and export and prescription of medical substances. It relates to medicines intended for both human and animal use.

No Agricultural product shall contain seeds of Crotolaria species, Datura species or Ricinis communis in measures greater than one seed per 1000g; and seeds of Argemone mexicana L., Convolvulus species, Ipomoea purpurea Roth., Lolium temulentum and Xanthium species in measures greater than seven seeds per 1000g.

The regulations are subject to the foodstuffs, cosmetics, and disinfectants act of 1972. It stipulates limitations related to the use of processed foodstuffs for human consumption.

The regulations are relevant to the disaster management act of 2002, and the declaration of national disaster published in the government gazette on March 2020. The regulations amend the national disaster publication; it inserts chapter-specific definitions for clarity of context. It addresses issues related to the conduct and options of COVID-19 confirmed and suspected persons, restrictions on movements of goods and persons during lockdown, prohibition of public transport, and resources by the state during lockdown.

The notice repeals the provisions of the regulations relating to food items identified under the repealed food, drugs, and disinfectants act of 1929.

The amendment substitutes items 7-9 in the table of food items and prescribed sodium reduction levels.

The notice concerns hygienic requirements for the handling, transport and storage of food. The regulations outline requirements for all points in the food handling and packaging processes. It is stated that a person may not handle food or allow food to be handled in manners contrary to specifications of these regulations. The regulations relate, among others, to; abattoirs and animal slaughtering process, meat and meat products, perishable food items, prepacked foods, unprocessed agricultural crops, and ready-to-eat foods.

There are deletion of phrases and words for sections of the regulation, as well as additions and redefinitions for textual clarifications.
