Short Term Emergency Recovery Programme (STERP) is an emergency short term stabilisation programme, whose key goals are to stabilise the macro and micro-economy, recover the levels of savings, investment and growth, and lay the basis of a more transformative midterm to long term economic programme that will turn Zimbabwe into a progressive developmental State.

The Three Year Macro-Economic Policy and Budget Framework addresses the challenges and unfinished agenda of Short Term Emergency Recovery Programme (STERP) and other sector specific salient issues key for economic growth and development.

These Regulations, made under the Environmental Management Act, provides rules for the management of hazardous waste. They also provide for the protection of water source areas and other sensitive areas and the prevention of pollution of water by hazardous waste. No hazardous waste shall be disposed of at any other place except in a licensed hazardous waste disposal site or landfill.

An Act to provide for the establishment and use of a national mark in relation to the marketing of specified types of fruit grown in Zimbabwe; to prescribe the requisite standards and requirements for the export of specified types of fruit grown in Zimbabwe; and for matters incidental to the foregoing.

An Act to provide for the sale, importation and manufacture for sale of food in a pure state; to prohibit the sale, importation and manufacture for sale of food which is falsely described; and to provide for the fixing of standards relating to food and matters incidental thereto.

An Act to provide for the establishment and use of a national mark in relation to the marketing of specified types of fruit grown in Zimbabwe; to prescribe the requisite standards and requirements for the export of specified types of fruit grown in Zimbabwe; and for matters incidental to the foregoing.

The purpose of debt management in Zimbabwe is to ensure that Government’s financing needs and payment obligations are met at the lowest possible cost over the medium to long term, with a prudent level of risk, and to promote the development of the domestic debt market.

The budget, with the theme “Austerity for Prosperity”, aims to achieve a macro-fiscal stabilisation for ‘Triple S Growth’ – Strong, Sustainable and Shared. Its growth drivers include: food security and protection; human capital development; private sector led growth; institutions and governance; and peace and security.

The primary objective of the 2019 Budget is to stabilise the economy by targeting the fiscal and current account twin deficits which have become major sources of overall economic vulnerabilities including inflation, sharp rise in indebtedness, accumulation of arrears and foreign currency shortages.

The 2019 Budget Strategy Paper (BSP) presents proposals on key polices and priorities, with a view of facilitating discussions and preparations of the 2019 National Budget and the Medium Term up to 2021.

The 2020 budget prioritises the following areas: productivity and growth; jobs creation; competitiveness; promotion of more sustainable and inclusive development; and export diversification and import substitution.

The 2020 Pre-Budget Strategy Paper (BSP) is meant to facilitate discussions on policy direction for the 2020 National Budget, consistent with the objectives of the Transitional Stabilisation Programme (TSP) and aspirations of Vision 2030.It highlights recent global and domestic macro-economic developments and outlook.
