These guidelines are issued pursuant to the provision of section 31 of the oil pipeline Act cap 338 of the law of the Federation of Nigeria 1990. It prescribes the procedure to be followed to obtain all necessary licences and approvals for the construction of Oil and Gas pipelines, the guidelines to follow during the construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of pipelines and their ancillary installations.
