Preservation of life and reduction in suffering through prompt information on disaster aversion, and promt response in cases of actual disasters. The plan expressly addresses the management activities to be carried out by stakeholders when handling disaster situations. Prominent disasters faced in Rwanda include; droughts, fire, floods, earthquakes, landslides, heavy rain with strong winds, lightning and thunderstorms, traffic accidents, diseases and epidemics
