The overall objective of the SADC resource mobilization Strategy is to ensure that there is a clear, systematic, predictable and well co-ordinated approach to soliciting, acquiring, and utilization, management, reporting, monitoring, and evaluating assistance from International Cooperating Partners and for expanding the resource base to ensure sustainable resource availability for implementation of the SADC programs in support of regional integration and Millennium Development Goals for the region. It outlines how the Secretariat will organize the processes of prioritizing, planning, selecting projects, monitoring, broadening the resource channels as well as coordinating with Member States and International Cooperating Partners (ICPs) for mobilizing and effectively utilizing resources.
