The notice declaring the Amathole offshore marine protected area in terms of the sections of the national environmental management: protected areas act of 2003. The boundaries of the protected area and the geographic coordinates are specified in accordance with the World Geodetic System (WGS) 84 datum. The area is declared to preserve its biodiversity and the threatened species it contains.

The notice prohibits the making of fire in open air for state and private forests subject to fire hazards, specified in the schedule.

An amendment of the table in annexure A that highlights foodstuff, preservative, and quantity permitted.

The notice publishes the list of all protected trees belonging to particular species specified in the schedules. It further states that: no person may cut, disturb, damage or destroy any protected tree or possess, collect, remove, transport, export, purchase, sell, or donate any protected tree specie or products derived from it except as approved by an authority.

The entire Namaqua Fossil Forest marine protected area is zoned as a single controlled zone, which is determined using the World Geodetic System (WGS) of 1984. The regulations stipulate that no scientific research within the protected area shall be carried out except with a research permit issued by the Minister. It lists out the general restrictions within the protected area.

The notice amends the control measures of the agricultural pests act. It substitutes table 1 of the control measures with a fees payable table.

The act applies in the Prince Edward Islands, and to the exclusive economic zone and continental shelf of the Republic; It equally binds all organs of state, and is to be read alongside the priciples enshrined in the biodiversity act, and the national environmental management act of 1998. The objectives of the act include; provision for the declaration and management of protected areas, to manage and conserve the biodiversity of the Republic, and to provide for continued existence of national parks in South Africa.

Animal feeds covered by the policy include; encompass feed ingredients, feed additives, pet foods and feeds intended for cattle, sheep, goats, horses, poultry, pigs, wild animals, fresh water and sea fish, birds, dogs and cats and other companion animals, and ostriches. The publication is a multi-sectoral national policy that provides the framework for the regulation and legislation of animal feeds in South Africa. It provides for an effective and efficient regulatory system that will ensure matters related to feed ingredients and animal feeds result in safe feed and food products.

Amendment of regulations published in the marine living resources act of 1998. Regulation 51, pertaining to age limits for obtaining permits, and annexure two of the regulations are altered.

The regulations are subject to the foodstuffs, cosmetics, and disinfectants act of 1972. It inserts definitions for textual correctness.

The regulations amended relate to; procedures in case of loss of copies of deeds, substitution and addition of forms, and cancellation of mortgage bonds.

The entire Southeast Atlantic Seamounts marine protected area consists of one restricted zone, and two controlled zones, which are determined using the World Geodetic System (WGS) of 1984. The regulations stipulate that no scientific research within the protected area shall be carried out except with a research permit issued by the Minister. It lists out the general restrictions within the protected area.

The amendment stipulates that persons may apply for permits by submission of application on the form highlighted in the annexure; applications must be submitted to the organ of state, unless directed otherwise.

The statutory measure applies to potatoes. It pushes to compel stakeholders of potato to keep records and report returns to the relevant administrators. It sees registration as a means to ensure availability of information to all players in the industry, to enable them make informed decisions. The measure lists out the parties mandated to register, and the registration process. Potatoes is appointed as an administrator of the statutory measure.

The strategy document sets the measures for implementing water management practices according to the user pays and polluter pays principles. It refers to pricing for the use of water from South Africa’s water resources and not the pricing of water services. It is subject to the powers of the minister to periodically establish pricing strategy for charges for water use. The strategy prioritises social equity, ecological sustainability, financial sustainability, and economic efficiency.

The policy is meant to be read along with the 2013 general policy on the allocation and management of fishing rights. The minister delegates powers of fishing rights allocation to officials of the department of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. The objectives of allocating fishing rights include: to broaden meaningful participation, to promote food security, and to facilitate the recovery of over-exploited fish species. The policy sets out the criteria guiding evaluation, allocation and management of fishing rights in the tuna pole-line fishery; it is to serve as a guide for a delegated official.

The act recognizes the non-renewable nature of minerals and petroleum resources, the need to protect the environment by ensuring sustainable development of minerals and petroleum resources, and to eradicate all discriminations in practices related to the resources. It affirms the state as the custodian of these resources and it seeks to promote equitable access to all activities related to their use and development.

The notice amends the regulations in terms of the deeds registries act of 1937. The alterations relate to; the provision of discretion related to the rectification of errors with documents; issuance of certifications; and update of contents for clarity.

An amendment of the disaster management act of 2002. among others, the amendment relates to; clarification of policy focus; alignment of functions of management bodies; provide for security personnels to assist in disaster management efforts; strengthening reporting on monitoring and evaluation efforts; provide for the inclusion of traditional leaders in management activities; and declaration and classification of disasters.

The regulations are subject to the agricultural product standards of 1990. They specify classes and standards, parking and marking requirements guiding the sale of bananas in South Africa. It specifically states that bananas shall not be sold except standards outlined in these regulations are met. The regulations are baseline standards for bananas sold in South Africa.
