The plan sets out Kenya’s national circumstances, focusing on current and future climate trends, and describes the country’s vulnerability to climate change. It also elaborates institutional arrangements, including monitoring and evaluation processes. Priority actions are identified in 20 planning sectors for the short, medium and long term. This builds on the premise that all the socioeconomic sectors are vulnerable to climate change impacts, although the manifestation of these impacts may vary from one sector to the other.

In response to the challenges and opportunities posed by climate change, kenya has developed this national climate change response strategy. the vision of the Strategy is for a prosperous and climate change resilient Kenya. The mission is to strengthen and focus nationwide actions towards climate change adaptation and GHG emission mitigation. This will be achieved by ensuring commitment and engagement of all stakeholders while taking into account the vulnerable nature of Kenya’s natural resources and society. The objectives are to: enhance understanding of the global climate change regime: the negotiation process, international agreements, policies and processes and most importantly the positions Kenya needs to take in order to maximize beneficial effects of climate change; assess the evidence and impacts of climate change in Kenya; and recommend robust adaptation and mitigation measures needed to minimize risks associated with climate change while maximizing opportunities.

These regulations concern diary product importation. It provides that a person who has, or has had in his possession or under his control prescribed dairy produce shall disclose to any inspector of the board or any other person authorised in that behalf by the Board, the source or sources of supply thereof and the date or dates of delivery and shall make that disclosure, if so required, in writing and signed by the person making it.
